Organization Profile
Community Agricultural Resources Development Programme CARDEP is a registered non-governmental organization operating in all the six counties of the coast region. The organization was registered with the NGO coordination board under certificate no OP.218/051/11-0592/7686 on 25/01/2012.
CARDEP has a seven-member board of directors with a service period of two years as election time frame. The directors are experts in different technical fields. Ranging from agricultural development, Public Health, petroleum resource development.
We have a volunteerism programme which provides opportunity to both university and school leavers to gain field experience while working in our projects. With this program in place and working with the field staff of the county extension service, we hence have a staff force of 10 professionals.

Purpose
To promote food security and increased incomes of the resource poor coastal communities by promoting sustainable management of land and water resources for improved food security, health and sanitation. The organization also implements education programmes to improve education programmes in the coast and develop youth talents in different fields
